TradingView is where many traders do their analysis, and trading directly from its charts saves switching platforms. Relatively few prop firms offer full TradingView execution, though the number is growing. Here are the options among the firms we review.
Our picks at a glance
FXIFY, Apex Trader Funding, Topstep. Each firm below accepts South African residents, and we’ve listed the rules that matter most for this use. Firm terms change often, so confirm details on the firm’s site before buying.
What to look for
Direct execution vs charts only. Some firms integrate TradingView charts into their own platform without letting you trade from TradingView itself.
Broker connections. Futures firms often support TradingView through Tradovate or other connections.
Alerts and automation. Webhook-based automation may count as algorithmic trading under a firm’s rules.

If a firm you like doesn’t support TradingView, you can still analyse on TradingView and place trades on MT5 or the firm’s platform.
Trading from South Africa
Forex traders get the most liquidity during the London–New York overlap, roughly 14:00–18:00 SAST in the Northern summer and 15:00–19:00 in winter. US index futures are busiest after the New York cash open at 15:30 or 16:30 SAST. Payouts are income for SARS, usually declared through provisional tax: see prop firm tax in South Africa.
